16-year old Wendy Wylie is an orphan girl on a farmhouse in Texas. While trying to chase a rabbit who has stolen a carrot, she falls through an unexpected sinkhole and winds up in the Quadling Forest, a region of the Land of Oz.
Her life takes a completely unexpected turn when, to assuage her hunger, she steals a carrot from a carrot patch near the cottage of a resident of the nearby Kingdom of Bunnybury, who is also a powerful witch!

In my current zeal to write stories based on L. Frank Baum's books based in and around the magical fairyland of Oz, I've decided to write a completely original short story that doesn't involve any of the main characters. It's an interesting tale of an ordinary girl from our world caught up in the spell of a morally ambiguous witch.
And it's a tale with a transformation scene, to boot!
